Black Sunday may refer to historical events which occurred on a Sunday, or the names of several creative works.

- 1926, February 14: A day of major bushfires in Victoria, Australia during the 1925-26 Victorian bushfire season
- 1935, April 14: Black Sunday (storm), a large dust storm that swept across the Midwestern United States
- 1944, June 11: At the Battle of Le Mesnil-Patry, Canadian forces were decimated during an attack against German Panzer divisions
- 1955, January 2: Black Sunday (1955), a series of bushfires in South Australia
- 1955, July 17: The opening day of Disneyland Park (Anaheim)
- 1982, May 2: The Colony Shale Oil Project was cancelled by Exxon
- 1984, January 22: Super Bowl XVIII was won by the black-uniformed Los Angeles Raiders
- 1991, November 24: In the Belgian general election, 1991, the extreme right-wing party Vlaams Blok gained numerous seats
- 1994, May 1: Death of Ayrton Senna, the result of a crash during the San Marino Grand Prix
- 1998, April 26: The Denver International Airport Automated Guideway Transit System failed, affecting 5,000 passengers
- 2001, February 18: Death of Dale Earnhardt, the result of a crash during the Daytona 500
- 2010, October 31: 2010 Baghdad church attack, a terrorist attack on a church in Baghdad
